Vial
Last updated
The small sealed glass bottle a lyophilized peptide comes in. You inject bacteriostatic water through its rubber stopper to reconstitute, then draw doses from it.
The rubber stopper is designed to be pierced repeatedly and to reseal, which is what allows a single vial to serve many doses over its usable life. Wiping the stopper with alcohol before each entry is standard aseptic practice. Because the vial is where powder becomes solution, its labeled milligram amount and the water added to it are the two inputs every reconstitution calculation begins from.
