Last updated

A hormone released alongside insulin that slows gastric emptying and reduces appetite. Amylin analogs such as cagrilintide and pramlintide are studied for metabolic and weight effects.

Cagrilintide, for instance, has a long half-life and is often discussed alongside GLP-1 compounds. As with any peptide supplied as a lyophilized powder, the label states mass in milligrams, and the dose target sets how many units are drawn.
