| Name | GHRP-6 |
|---|---|
| Category | Growth-hormone axis |
| Type | Peptide |
| Sequence | Hexapeptide GH secretagogue |
| Typical dose | ~100–200 mcg |
| Frequency | 1–3× daily |
| Route | Subcutaneous injection |
| Half-life | Short (~30 minutes). |
Overview
GHRP-6 is an older GH secretagogue similar to GHRP-2 but with a more noticeable appetite spike, driven by its ghrelin-like activity. That hunger effect is sometimes used deliberately (e.g., to support eating) and sometimes an unwanted side effect.
How it’s thought to work
- Activates the ghrelin/GH-secretagogue receptor to release GH.
- Strongly stimulates appetite (ghrelin-mimetic).
Researched uses
- Raising endogenous GH/IGF-1
- Appetite support research
Commonly cited protocol
| Typical dose | ~100–200 mcg |
|---|---|
| Frequency | 1–3× daily |
| Route | Subcutaneous injection |
| Notes | Often stacked with a GHRH. |
Reconstitution
Often a 5 mg vial. 5 mg with 2 mL water = 2.5 mg/mL, so 100 mcg = 4 units on a U-100 syringe.
GHRP-6 dosage calculator
The calculator below is pre-filled with GHRP-6’s commonly cited vial size and dose. Adjust the vial amount, bacteriostatic water, or dose to match your own vial — it will show the exact insulin-syringe units to draw, the concentration, and how many doses the vial holds.
Add 5 mL of bacteriostatic water to your 5 mg vial. That gives you about 50 doses of 100 mcg. For each dose, draw 10 units into a 100-unit insulin syringe.

Cautions
- Not approved for human use.
- Marked hunger; possible cortisol/prolactin rise.
- Caution with active cancer.
