Dose
Also known as “dosage”
Last updated
The amount of peptide taken at one time, usually given in micrograms (mcg) or milligrams (mg). This is different from the number of units you draw, which also depends on your concentration.
The recurring confusion is treating the dose and the units drawn as the same thing, when they are not: a 250 mcg dose might be 25 units at one concentration and 12.5 at another. The dose is fixed by the protocol; the units depend on how the vial was reconstituted. Keeping the two separate is exactly what a reconstitution calculator is for, translating a target mass into a mark on the syringe.
