GLP-1

Glucagon-like peptide-1, a hormone that influences blood sugar and appetite. GLP-1 receptor agonists (e.g. semaglutide, tirzepatide) are the class behind many metabolic/weight compounds.

GLP-1 receptor agonists are usually dosed on a slow upward schedule rather than jumped straight to a target amount, which makes the relationship between milligrams in the vial and units on the syringe worth mapping out in advance. A common point of confusion is treating syringe units as a dose; the actual GLP-1 dose depends on both the units drawn and the concentration set during reconstitution.
