Milligram (mg)

Last updated

A unit of mass equal to one-thousandth of a gram. Peptide vials are usually labelled in mg; converting your mg vial and mcg dose to the same unit is the first step in any calculation.

Because vials are labelled in milligrams while many doses are given in micrograms, aligning the two units is the first move in any reconstitution calculation. It also helps to remember that the milligram figure refers to peptide mass, not the total weight of powder in the vial, which may include an excipient; the calculator works from the stated peptide amount, not the visible contents.
