Nootropic

A substance used with the aim of supporting cognition, focus or memory. Peptides like Semax and Selank are discussed as nootropics, though human evidence varies.

The term is used loosely and covers everything from well-studied compounds to those with little human data, so the label alone says little about evidence. Peptides discussed this way, such as Semax and Selank, are often taken intranasally rather than injected, which sidesteps reconstitution entirely for some products. Where an injectable form is used, the usual concentration and unit math still applies.
