Titration
Last updated
Gradually adjusting a dose over time — usually starting low and increasing in steps — to reach a target while gauging tolerance. Common with metabolic (GLP-1) compounds.
A typical titration might hold each step for several weeks before the next increase, giving tolerance and side effects time to settle. As the target dose rises, the number of units drawn from the same vial changes, so a calculator is handy for recomputing the draw at each step. Titration describes how a dose moves over time; the per-step math still rests on the vial's fixed concentration.
