U-100

The standard insulin-syringe scale where 100 units equals 1 millilitre. Nearly all insulin syringes used for peptides are U-100.
The U-100 standard is what lets an insulin syringe double as a peptide measuring tool: because 100 units always equals 1 mL on this scale, units convert cleanly to volume. It is worth confirming a syringe is U-100 rather than the rarer U-40 or U-50, since those scales would throw the conversion off. Calculators assume U-100, so the unit figures they produce map directly onto a standard syringe.
