Administration as a nasal spray. Some peptides, such as Semax and Selank, are commonly used intranasally rather than by injection.
For peptides used as a nasal spray, dosing is governed by the spray's concentration and the number of actuations rather than by syringe units, so an injection-oriented reconstitution calculator does not map directly onto them. Absorption across the nasal lining is also less complete and more variable than an injection, which is part of why intranasal amounts are not simply equivalent to an injected dose.
