Melanocortin

A family of receptors involved in pigmentation, appetite and sexual function. Melanotan and PT-141 act on melanocortin receptors.

The melanocortin receptor family spans several distinct effects, from pigmentation to appetite to sexual function, which is why peptides acting on it are discussed in quite different contexts. Products in this group are still reconstituted and dosed like any other lyophilized peptide, with the water volume added setting the concentration and the resulting units drawn per dose.
