Insulin syringe
Last updated
A small syringe marked in insulin “units” rather than millilitres, used to draw and inject reconstituted peptides. Common barrel sizes are 30, 50, and 100 units.
The barrel size is worth matching to the dose rather than defaulting to the largest available: a 30-unit syringe spreads a small draw across more of its length, making a low-microgram dose easier to read than the same volume on a 100-unit barrel. All three common sizes still use the U-100 scale, so the calculator's unit figures apply regardless of which barrel is chosen.
